According to an official Bisq announcement, the protocol was attacked due to a lack of verification mechanisms, resulting in the theft of approximately 11 BTC, which was involved in altcoin transactions. The attackers exploited a negative miner fee vulnerability to transfer funds through multisignature transactions. Bisq is discussing a compensation plan, with victims able to choose between Bitcoin or BSQ tokens. The plan requires a DAO vote and is expected to be finalized after May 25th. The official Bisq has fixed the vulnerability and plans to release a patch and strengthen codebase security reviews. Users are also advised to reduce the amount of BTC stored in their wallets. Bisq stated that the incident is under control and hopes to serve as a security warning to other projects.😱😱😱

According to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost, published on the X platform, the altcoin market has recently shown signs of recovery despite the ongoing US-Iran conflict and inflationary pressures. After a correction of over 50%, the altcoin sector is gradually regaining activity. Currently, there are approximately 51 million altcoins on the market, with 46% deployed on Solana, 36% on Base, and 10% from the BNB Smart Chain. The overall performance of altcoins listed on Binance has recovered to levels seen since September 2025, with approximately 21% regaining their 200-day moving average, compared to only 2% in February of this year. Darkfost believes market interest in altcoins is rebounding, but it is still too early to conclude that an altcoin season has begun, as liquidity remains limited.😳😳😳😳
