The Israeli Militarist Nationalist philosophy is largely led by IDF veteran generals. The current plan for Gaza is called “The Generals’ Plan.” It entails collective starvation of the Gaza population by means of biblical siege to the point that they reject Hamas, not just as a political group but as an ideology and spirit. They want the Palestinians to be left with a binary option: surrender your nationalist aspiration, i.e., the right of return, or face starvation and eventually destruction.

We are basically witnessing a perfect storm, the merging of two contemporary, extremely violent cults that accompany each other towards the accomplishment of the most barbaric genocide the world has ever seen.
