β€œI know my fate, and it is martyrdom.

I will continue to fight until the last breath against the Zionist enemy.”

~ Yahya Sinwar

He died on the frontlines with a gun, a magazine vest, and a radio commanding his troops. That we should be so lucky as to die the same way ourselves or have such leaders.

Hamas’ leader, Yahya Sinwar, was martyred while he was fighting the IDF on the ground. He was not assassinated nor betrayed, he was martyred while engaging the enemy. The enemy constantly spread the lie that Hamas’ leaders surrounded themselves with β€œhuman shields,” yet here you find the true face of Al-Qassam, fighting for the sake Allah and nation.

Yahya Sinwar is a true Mujahid in every sense of the word, what more glorious a death could the leader of the lions of Al-Qassam ask for? He did not die fighting figuratively he died with a weapon in hand and clad in armor.

Sinwar’s perspective on the ever looming prospect of martyrdom at the hands of the Jewish occupation.

Sinwar died as fearlessly as he lived. He knew that he could be martyred at anytime, and in fact welcomed it. In the speech he recalls how it would take him nearly an hour to traverse Gaza on foot after leaving his speech venue, an hour where his location is known and he is out in the open for Israel to assassinate him if it so pleased. Sinwar did not fear death, neither did his predecessors. When Hamas’ founders Ahmad Yassin and Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi were assassinated back to back within a month of each other in 2004, many claimed that it would be the end for Hamas, instead the organization grew to become the single largest resistance movement in Palestine, significantly overshadowing the PLO and previous organizations in both deeds and valor.

While the Jewish occupation released the photos of the martyr and the video capturing the moments preceding his death, they did so in mockery of him. All they could see is an enemy perishing, and a chance to gloat. Yet the Sinwar everyone else saw in the footage was a leader who personally fought alongside his fellow men, and was martyred alongside them. The Jews may not be able to comprehend honor nor nobility, but it is that deficiency that shows the world the disparity between Jewish perfidy and Palestinian resilience.
