Samsung smart TVs are collecting detailed data on what users watch and how they watch it, according to a cybersecurity researcher who reverse-engineered the company's Tizen operating system. The researcher claims the data — including network logs, audio information, screenshots of on-screen content, and cross-device tracking identifiers — is used to serve more targeted advertising. AI models reportedly analyze viewing behavior, skipped ads, and watch time.
