Chinese mega cities are kinda utopia for Democrats: citizens with no freedom and privacy rights, enjoying high tech bullet trains and AI powered urban functions.
They tried to replicate such "perfect" environment in America. They failed at bullet train, so they laser focused on the "no freedom" part.
