🥭 4 ways to eat a mango - No. 1

Mango season in Spain is in full swing! 🇪🇸🥭

The perfect opportunity to explore a few different ways to cut, peel and enjoy them.

Over the next few posts, Anasthasia from our Customer Service team will show you 4 simple ways to cut and eat a mango.

Let’s start with number 1:

Cut & scoop 🥄

Cut along both sides of the stone, grab a spoon, and scoop the flesh straight out of the skin. It’s that simple!

And we’re continuing with our little mango series! 🇪🇸🥭

Number 2: The Glass Method 🥭🥛

First, cut the mango on both sides along the pit.

Then take one mango cheek and place it cut-side down onto the rim of a glass. Gently slide the rim of the glass between the skin and the flesh, and glide it along the skin.

This way, the flesh comes away from the skin really easily and lands straight in the glass. Then simply cut it into pieces and enjoy. 😋

The next method comes with a little banana inspiration! 🍌🥭

Number 3: Peel it like a banana! 🍌

Using the tip of a knife, gently score the skin from the top of the mango down towards the middle. Repeat this three or four times around the mango to create three or four sections of skin.

Then simply pull each section down, just like peeling a banana. 🍌

Once the mango is peeled, you can bite right in and enjoy! 😋

And to finish off our series, here’s our final method: the mango hedgehog! 🦔🥭

Cut the mango along both sides of the stone. Then use a knife to score the flesh in a criss-cross pattern, being careful not to cut through the skin.

Now simply push the skin upwards from underneath so that the mango turns inside out and the cubes pop up. And there you have it the cute little “mango hedgehog”! 🦔✨

You can either bite the juicy mango cubes straight off or cut them away with a knife and enjoy. 😋
