Nifty Smallcap 100 is almost at the long-term trendline support around 18,500–18,600, with the 200 EMA also providing support nearby.
We have a buffer of just 100–150 points from the current levels. If this support holds, we could see the ongoing correction come to an end within the next 1–2 trading sessions, followed by a potential recovery towards recent highs.

During brutal corrections, leveraged selling and forced liquidation of MTF (Margin Trading Facility) positions can create additional selling pressure, causing prices to temporarily breach important support levels.
That’s why we consider a buffer around the trendline rather than expecting the market to reverse at an exact level. The objective is to account for this excess selling pressure while identifying a potential zone for the correction to end.
