Markets slipped on the monthly expiry day, with traders unwinding positions across the board.

Sensex: ↓ 572 pts to close at 80,858
Nifty: ↓ 156 pts to end at 24,681

✅ Good or Bad?

Not a great expiry day. Most sectors ended in the red with banks, financials, and IT leading the decline. Global cues remained weak, and FII selling added pressure. On the brighter side, a few FMCG and pharma names managed to hold ground.

Selling pressure from FIIs continued. Autos and FMCG offered minor support.
