'Absence' 'Fear' 'Slavery' - graphite on paper (2020)
'Absence' 'Fear' 'Slavery'
The idea of the artwork is that white people, especially in Europe and Africa, take children between the ages of 12-18 through brokers or in the name of letting them go. If they take it, they will be subjected to something offensive (Rape) and it is not possible to release the video against this. That was what inspired me.

Timket, which translates as ‘baptism’, celebrates the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist in the River Jordan. Ethiopians celebrate this annually with a mass baptism at different waterfronts or sacred pools around the country. Because of its universal value, UNESCO granted timket the status of intangible cultural Heritage in 2019.
