It appears that we are already oversubscribed for this meeting.

The maximum attendance limit for any Zoom meeting is 1,000 attendees, but I see over 3,000 registrants here.

Even though not all registrants are expected to actually turn up, chances are high that we will exceed capacity.

Please show up 15 minutes ahead of time (6:45pm) to guarantee your spot (access link is in your email).

However, if you show up after all seats are taken and are therefore unable to gain entry, please look out for a Youtube streaming link here on our whatsapp channel.

The wealthiest people in the world are not necessarily the smartest or most educated.

This is not necessarily cliché.

While intelligence certainly provides a noticeable edge, the most prosperous people seem to have some attributes in common.

Leaning on intelligence alone will only make you a well paid employee/advisor of the wealthy, and not necessarily make you one of them.

These include:
- Adaptability: Regardless of how circumstances turn out, find a way to still get results.
- ⁠Pragmatism: The ability to see the facts as they are and act on them, regardless of any emotional fantasies of how things ought to be
- ⁠A strong bias for action, instead of getting stuck in analysis paralysis. If we fail, so be it. But if we win, partayyy!
- ⁠Courage to just do things
- ⁠Energy efficiency: Choosing to expend one’s life force on attempting only the biggest opportunities, industries and markets
- ⁠Stamina for long distance races. Being able to persist in one direction for years until a big payoff.
- ⁠Being comfortable with public scrutiny. Let people watch, let people talk. My will be done on earth!

Wisdom might be the principal thing, allegedly.

But it’s not the only thing.

There are rich wise men and poor wise men.

The rich ones have the above qualities in common.

Tonight, we return to Night School with "The Game of Money Revisited".

You see, words carry more meaning than meets the eye.

And this is why as students of the Game of Life, we must be students of language.

And as students of language, the first thing we must do when encountering a word is to determine its etymology (its origin), as well as its connotative and denotative meanings.

Thanks for ChatGPT, we can now just throw that into a prompt.

Anyway, back to money matters.

The word 'Capital' comes from the Latin word 'Caput', meaning 'head'.

And so English words that have anything to do with the head or leadership have it in them - Cap, Captain, Capital.

It's used with respect to money because capital was historically considered the "head" or most important part of one's resources.

So imagine being born into a country whose economic system is Capitalism, and you wait until your 30s to learn what it means, how it works and how you can bend it to your advantage.

One recurrent point we brought up on Night School was about the impact your vocation has on your overall quality of life.

Your vocation (what you choose to do for a living) is one of the most important decisions you can make, and should therefore not be made lightly.

Poor people are educated to see vocation as something you do to earn money to survive.

This lack of intentionality is what ‘land locks’ them into a lifestyle they find difficult to escape later in life.

Upper class education understands that your vocation determines the overall quality of your experiences in life.

So it’s not just about the sort of work that can provide your basic needs, but one that goes beyond that - high income, respect from society and status.

This is about DESIGNING YOUR IDEAL LIFESTYLE.

Your choice of vocation also determines:

- The kind of people you interact with daily.
- ⁠The neighborhoods you can afford to live in.
- ⁠The opportunities and networks your children will inherit.
- ⁠Even the respect (or disrespect) that society shows you.

They will not write it this candidly in a book, but you can observe life and agree that it’s true.

In our afterthoughts to Night School, I will expand on this idea and add another factor - social circles.
