Avi Issacharoff, the Arabic-speaking Israeli journalist who melded his work and military service in the undercover Duvdevan unit to co-create the award-winning TV show โFauda,โ says that the tunnel infrastructure in Gaza is โsomething that we cannot even imagine.โ
โItโs very dense, itโs a huge system of tunnels that allow Hamas to transport terrorists and hostages โ but also motorbikes and artillery and rockets and everything you can imagine,โ said Issacharoff, speaking with members of the press Sunday about the challenges of a military operation in Gazaโs dense urban terrain.

IDF believes it caused significant damage to Hamas tunnels in overnight strikes
The IDF said Monday that it believes heavy overnight strikes in northern Gaza caused significant damage to underground and aboveground infrastructure belonging to Hamas, as the military announced that a soldier had been killed in fighting a day earlier.
The military said Sunday it was carrying out โwidespread strikes on terror infrastructure, below ground and above it,โ which are now believed to have killed Hamas field commanders hiding in tunnels.
Hamas described the strikes as โintense bombingsโ and said they killed more than 200 people. The numbers released by the Hamas terror groupโs health ministry cannot be verified, and it does not differentiate between civilians and combatants.
The IDF said Monday that it has killed more than a dozen Hamas field commanders โ at the battalion and brigade level โ since the beginning of the war, and noted that the loss was disrupting the terror groupโs operations.

Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi: "We have been at war for a month now, we are inflicting severe damage to Hamas, damaging the leadership of Hamas, targeting the commanders, targeting the terrorists, destroying Hamas' infrastructure in Gaza, and we are also constantly ready for other areas. This base knows how to reach anywhere in the Middle East. I happened to see now in the 140th Squadron air support of an Adir (F-35) jet to the forces who were 200 meters away. We haven't done this before, with very heavy armament, very good communication between what the force needs and what the jet knows to provide, and this connection of air and ground together, we always knew it was strong, we see that it is much stronger than we thought."

Netanyahu was interviewed by the American ABC network
From the segment that was broadcast: "There will be no general ceasefire in Gaza without the release of our hostages," Netanyahu responded. "As for small tactical pauses, an hour here, an hour there. We've had them in the past, I guess, we'll look at the circumstances to allow humanitarian goods to come in, or our hostages, individual hostages to go out but I don't think there will be a general ceasefire."
Netanyahu continued, "I think it will delay the war effort. It will delay our effort to free our hostages because the only thing that works on these criminals in Hamas is the military pressure we are applying."
More from the interview: Netanyahu says that for a certain and unknown period of time, Israel will have to have security control over the Strip.

Arab channels quote the following points from Prime Minister Netanyahu's interview with the ABC network regarding the war in Gaza:
1. There will be no total ceasefire without the release of all the abductees.
2. A humanitarian respite of an hour here and an hour there is possible - we have already done this in the past in favor of the arrival of aid.
3. I believe that Israel will have to impose Israeli security control over the Gaza Strip for a limited period of time.
