Elimination of terrorists who infiltrated Israeli territory on October 7 and Hamas field commanders
In operations by IDF forces, several terrorists and field commanders of the Hamas terror organization were eliminated in the Gaza Strip over the past month by the 282nd Fire Brigade.
Among the terrorists eliminated was Yosef Mahmoud Muhammad Juma'a, head of a terrorist cell in the Hamas terror organization who infiltrated Kibbutz Alumim and participated in the murderous massacre on October 7. The terrorist planned and executed terror attacks against the State of Israel and IDF forces during the war.
In the past month, the brigade eliminated more than 20 terrorists from terror organizations operating in the Gaza Strip, including terrorists who infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the murderous massacre on October 7.
IDF Southern Command forces will continue to operate against terror organizations in the Gaza Strip in order to protect the citizens of the State of Israel.

The IDF recently struck, led by the Southern Command, a multi-story building used by the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza City area.
Hamas terrorist operatives positioned observation posts in the building for the purpose of ambushes, monitoring the location of IDF forces in the area, and advancing terrorist routes against the State of Israel and our forces.
Before the strike, measures were taken to minimize the chance of harm to civilians as much as possible, including population warnings, use of precise munitions, aerial observation, and additional intelligence information.
The terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip systematically violate international law, cruelly exploiting civilian institutions and operating in the presence of the local population.
The IDF will continue to act with strength and determination against terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip.

Destruction of observation posts and elimination of terrorists: IDF forces continue operations against terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip
IDF forces under Southern Command continue to operate under the guidance of Military Intelligence and the Shin Bet against terrorist organizations throughout the Gaza Strip.
In the Jabalia area and on the outskirts of Gaza City, combat team forces from the Givati Brigade operating under the 162nd Division eliminated more than 10 terrorists and destroyed terror infrastructures in the area during the last 24 hours. Additionally, the 215th Artillery Brigade eliminated terrorists from the Hamas terrorist organization and destroyed weapons warehouses in the area.
Simultaneously, the combat team of the 401st Brigade operates on the outskirts of the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood as part of the effort to eradicate terror infrastructures in the area. During their activity, the brigade's artillery unit identified about 10 Hamas terrorists who were eliminated by the fighters during the closing of the circle.
Over the weekend, the 990th Artillery Brigade operating in the northern Gaza Strip under the 99th Division eliminated terrorists and destroyed anti-tank firing positions from which fire was directed at IDF forces operating in the Strip. Additionally, forces from the 11th Brigade and the Northern Brigade destroyed several military buildings used by Hamas terrorists to observe IDF forces.
In the southern Gaza Strip, the combat team of the 6th Brigade destroyed observation means and additional infrastructures of the Hamas terrorist organization alongside the elimination of terrorists.
