Elimination of terrorists who infiltrated Israeli territory on October 7 and Hamas field commanders
In operations by IDF forces, several terrorists and field commanders of the Hamas terror organization were eliminated in the Gaza Strip over the past month by the 282nd Fire Brigade.
Among the terrorists eliminated was Yosef Mahmoud Muhammad Juma'a, head of a terrorist cell in the Hamas terror organization who infiltrated Kibbutz Alumim and participated in the murderous massacre on October 7. The terrorist planned and executed terror attacks against the State of Israel and IDF forces during the war.
In the past month, the brigade eliminated more than 20 terrorists from terror organizations operating in the Gaza Strip, including terrorists who infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the murderous massacre on October 7.
IDF Southern Command forces will continue to operate against terror organizations in the Gaza Strip in order to protect the citizens of the State of Israel.

The IDF recently struck, led by the Southern Command, a multi-story building used by the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza City area.
Hamas terrorist operatives positioned observation posts in the building for the purpose of ambushes, monitoring the location of IDF forces in the area, and advancing terrorist routes against the State of Israel and our forces.
Before the strike, measures were taken to minimize the chance of harm to civilians as much as possible, including population warnings, use of precise munitions, aerial observation, and additional intelligence information.
The terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip systematically violate international law, cruelly exploiting civilian institutions and operating in the presence of the local population.
The IDF will continue to act with strength and determination against terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip.
