PM Benjamin Netanyahu:
Today we wrote another exciting chapter in the history of the State of Israel: the opening of the Paraguayan embassy in Jerusalem, our eternal capital.
In a solemn ceremony, together with Paraguayan President Santiago Penia, I insisted that Jerusalem is and always will be the undivided capital of Israel. I thanked President Penia for his recognition of this fact and his courageous decision to open the embassy in Jerusalem.
This moment symbolizes the depth of friendship between the peoples and the recognition of the historical truth of Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish people for 3,000 years. Like the Jewish people, Paraguay also faced tremendous challenges and maintained hope, faith and the desire to build a better future.
Thank you to President Penia and the Paraguayan people for the partnership, friendship and respect. Together, we will build a future of prosperity and shared values.
