Meaning: the most, the best

Formation:

Noun + は/が一番 + adjective + だ
Verb-dictionary form + のは/のが一番 + adjective + だ

一番好きな漫画って何？
What’s your favorite manga?
ichiban suki na manga tte nani?

Meaning: to exist, there is/are

The verb いる is used to indicate the existence of living objects.

Formation:

Person/Place + (に)は + thing + がいる

図書館に人がいっぱいいる。
There are many people at the library.
toshokan ni hito ga ippai iru.

Meaning: to be, to exist

ある is used to indicate the existence of inanimate objects.

Formation:

Person/Place + (に)は + thing + がある

わからないことが、もう一つあるよ。
There’s one thing I don’t understand.
wakaranai koto ga, mou hitotsu aru yo.

Meaning 1: about, approximately

Meaning 2: at least, at the very least

Formation:

Noun + くらい/ぐらい

５０メートルぐらいならわたしも泳げるよ。
If it’s only 50 meters than I can also swim that far.
gojuu meetoru gurai nara watashi mo oyogeru yo.
