The applause in Leinster House today for Volodymyr Zelensky is remincent of the applause for Benjamin Netanyahu in the US Congress in 2015. A performative ritual symbolising abject subservience to alien interests, and a willingness to sacrifice young lives if necessary on behalf of those interests. Zelensky informed the Dáil that the Irish State had given up Ireland's neutrality — that in effect they had committed their country to a civilisational conflict between the US and Russia — and the Dáil applauded its own betrayal.

Yesterday it was a “hate-crime”. What is it now?
Hate-crime legislation is a ploy to keep NGOs in business and give designated minorities a higher court of appeal than mere Irish people. The same NGOs push open-borders migration and paint a halo over the head of every foreigner. Their working assumption is that guilt lies with the core culture, i.e. Irish people. Sometimes they need to be reminded that foreigners are people too.
Ireland doesn't need hate-crime legislation. It needs to reverse its permissive attitude towards immigration.
