Senator Jake Hoffman Introduces Legislation To Force A Re-Vote In Botched Or Stolen Elections That Result In Voter Disenfranchisement

In response to the reprehensible 2022 election, I introduced SB1695 that says if county officials violate Arizona election law, during the course of the primary or general election, resulting in the disenfranchisement of voters, the county shall not certify the canvass and shall instead hold a new election.

We must not stand idly by while county officials openly violate our election laws. Their actions undermine voter confidence, destroy the integrity of our form of government, and spit on the graves of those who came and died before us to defend and preserve our freedom to freely choose our leaders.

I will not allow voters to be disenfranchised on my watch, and I thank my Republican colleagues on the Senate Committee on Government—Senators Rogers, Shamp, Farnsworth, and Wadsack—for standing tall as patriots to help me pass SB1695 out of committee!
