Has Darren Beattie ever published any documentary evidence showing that Ray Epps was in fact a an undercover agent or confidential informant?

All I’ve seen is vague innuendo.

I support Mike Bloomberg banning Big Gulps more than I support having a President who chugs down gallons of sugary soda.

My own speculation is that the feds did what they did with Epps to draw the focus of everyone on the right to him, rather than the myriad real UC’s and CI’s who were there and have testified in countless dozens of J6 cases.

There is a big difference between saying that Ray Epps “could be” a fed and saying that he “is” a fed.

The FBI has categorically denied having any involvement with him. It’s unclear whether DHS and ATF have done the same, but Epps has denied having any involvement with those agencies or any others under oath.

Unless I’ve missed something, and it’s very possible that I have, Darren Beattie has claimed that Ray Epps IS a fed, but he has only provided innuendo and speculation, rather than any real documentary evidence.

This kind of weak pseudo-journalism is standard practice in “conservative” media. Almost without exception, they lack the resources, the training and the will to do hard news reporting. That’s why you probably can’t remember the last time that a conservative news outlet has broken an influential news story.

It seems likely that Beattie is going to find himself sued by Epps in the near future. Will he be able to hide behind the “we were just asking questions” defense? We’ll see.

Most conservative “citizen journalists” who start up these blogs don’t have any concept of what goes into actual hard news reporting. They’ve never been formally trained in the craft of investigative journalism or spent any time with investigative journalists from places like WSJ and Bloomberg.

That’s why they face near-universal failure in reporting news that contains any original factual reporting. It’s almost always just reinterpretations of other people’s reporting that nonetheless has “EXCLUSIVE” or “BREAKING” at the beginning of every headline.

And the saddest part is that the business model of publishing this drivel doesn’t even exist anymore. Back in 2017, they could bring in $5K-$10K/month banging out 2-3 articles like that per day on a site like Gateway Pundit via advertising revenue. Today the money comes through pay-walls like Substack and usually adds up to little more than crumbs.
