Glenn Youngkin has been a much better governor than DeSantis and may be worthy of consideration. I don’t know enough about him to say for sure yet.

Over the last 4+ years, I’ve known @AliAlexander as one of the most effective and loyal soldiers in all of the conservative movement.
There’s been a contingent of DeSantis fans saying “See! They were never going to indict Trump! It was all a fundraising scam!”

These leftist goons are so consumed by their tyrannical fervor and vain careerism that they have no idea how close they are to completely delegitimizing the judicial institutions of this country.
The moment will come. Nobody knows precisely when, or where. The moment in which half of this country stands up and says “To hell with your illegitimate courts and your secret grand juries and your rigged star chambers and show trials! We aren’t participating anymore. We aren’t coming to the arraignment.”
The appeals courts are supposed to be the pressure valve that cures this problem. But the remedies available within the court system increasingly appear to be too slow and to correct these flagrant injustices for too few. Just ask the J6 hostages. (*Yes, in nearly every case they are in fact hostages and not “prisoners.”)
At that moment, governors won’t have a choice but to cease recognizing court orders which are transparently political.

When will these political jurists completely lose the veneer of any legitimacy? I don’t know. But that moment may be nearer than anyone realizes.
