The US charges bankers and financiers with crimes constantly. And a great portion of those cases probably should have been left in the civil domain.

When it comes to producing the munitions that are critical to the Ukrainian conflict, Russia’s industrial capacity is far superior to that of the US. For example: ATGM’s, AA rockets and Howitzer rounds.
Of course the United States completely dominates in the development and production of high tech equipment like Gen 3 night vision, comms and drones. And it’s not even close. In other words, we are very much tooled up to produce all the gadgets that were so useful in the GWOT.
On balance, a $13,000 set of L3Harris PVS-31A night vision googles don’t do a Ukrainian soldier very much good when he’s under artillery barrage from an enemy that is eight or ten miles away.
In convention warfare, victory belongs to the side with a more effective military industrial base. Not the side with the best esoteric gadgets. Hence why the Nazi’s never stood a chance against the United States in WW2.
