President Trump never assumed control of the federal government in any meaningful way. He simply didn’t know how and didn’t have anyone in his circle who really did.

It all started when Chris Christie, Jared Kushner and Anthony Scaramucci were put in charge on the transition. These are all competent people in different ways, but they did a poor job of staffing the government.

His only hope was at properly running the government was Steve Bannon, but Trump quickly fired Bannon “like a dog.” I will note that Bannon was not without his faults.

Do you remember how frustrating it was when, for example, we had to wait more than a year for Trump to exit the Iran Deal or slap tariffs on China?

I really would like a professional in the White House come January 20, 2025 but as of now I don’t see who what is.

This is why Trump’s Presidency failed to deliver in so many areas.
