How is the media’s appropriation of the term “The Big Lie” to describe denial of the 2020 election results not antisemitic? I always thought that term was specifically reserved to describe the rhetoric used by Nazi Germany to justify the Holocaust.

My working theory is that much of the fentanyl that makes it onto the streets in the US comes from makeshift outdoor labs in Mexico—and is nowhere near the purity of pharmaceutical grade fentanyl.
The powder or pills indicate positive for fentanyl on field expedient reagent test kits, and then law enforcement agencies say it was enough to kill millions of people with the assumption that it’s as powerful as the pharmaceutical version. But it’s not.
The DEA reports say that Mexican fentanyl, even when sold in so-called “pure” powder form, is in fact only 7-12% pure. By contrast, generic pharmaceutical drugs have a chemical purity of at least 98%.
Fewer than 1% of fentanyl seized from parcel shipments into the US from chemical companies in China had purities that exceeded the 90 percent mark. The “Fentanyl China” craze that’s taken over in the media is more hype than reality.
Most street fentanyl is roughly tantamount to “China White” heroin.
It’s much easier to point to China and blame fentanyl for increases in opioid deaths than it is to deal with the massive decrease in social mobility here at home over the past 25 years.
