There’s no such thing as an illegal invasion. Sovereigns invading other sovereigns don’t have two different categories: legal and illegal. That’s an illiterate understanding of what makes a nation-state different than an individual and what is the nature of law (hint: there’s no such thing as international law).

From George Clooney’s 2011 film “Ides of March”
I know personally of several instances where McEntee fired political appointees or demanded their resignations if they publicly expressed views which were “too right wing”

For example, he fired one political appointee within 3 hours because they tweeted “Gay marriage isn’t marriage. Men aren’t women. US-funded Tunisian LGBT soap operas aren’t America First.”

If Putin came to believe that the US was going to imminently sabotage the Nord Stream pipelines, it could make sense for Russia to bomb them first, in a controlled fashion that can be repaired quickly.

The same set of pipelines can’t be bombed twice and achieve anywhere near the same psychological/news impact the second time.

It would effectively scuttle any future sabotage attempts by the US, from a PR standpoint.
As I predicted would be the case in my Substack article a few months ago, the data show that “school choice” amounts to little more than what used to be called "busing."

In the aggregate, school choice policies move failing students from the inner city to nice schools in the suburbs.
