Dear esteemed graduates of the class of 2023 at Jimma University,
Specifically Graduates of Law students,

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to every one of you for completing your academic journey. You have faced numerous challenges, from long hours of studying to sleepless nights of preparing for exams, and you have emerged victorious. This remarkable achievement is a testament to your dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to excellence. I also acknowledge the tremendous support you have received from your families, teachers, and the university, which has helped you reach this momentous milestone.

However, your success does not end here. As graduates, you are now entrusted with many responsibilities towards your families, communities, and your country. These obligations demand continued diligence and hard work, which I am confident you possess.

To the law graduates, I commend you on completing the rigorous coursework, including case questions, article reviews, and cassation comments, culminating in the challenging Exit exam. I am proud to announce that one of your classmates, Firaol Bedada, achieved the highest score of 93/100 on the Exit exam. Congratulations to Firaol and the families, the law school, and the university for this remarkable achievement.

You are now not just graduates but also equipped with legal knowledge and a strong moral and ethical foundation. As lawyers, you are entrusted with serving your fellow citizens, protecting the rule of law, defending the Constitution, preserving fairness and justice, and contributing to the legal development of your country.
