Go herbalismmaxxing. You can just put stuff like rhizomes, herbs, roots into jams, alcohols, oils, teas etc. Just remember high long term heat can destroy compounds, specially while making jams. Stuff like wormwood is bitter as hell, but also antiparasitic etc.etc. so it'd be fitting for a bittersweet jam
