There’s a good chance you’ve caught him/her speaking privately with the prosecutor or other lawyers involved.

To you, your lawyer will talk shit about the system, the judge and the prosecutor etc.
But behind closed doors, these a-holes are plotting what’s best for them and their career and laughing at you.

It’s the same exact thing in Politics.
No matter what these turds say on television or at each other in public, you can always catch them having dinner and drinks together later, laughing it up.
