Pfizer's outlook for 2023 is disappointing for the company's shareholders.

Pfizer Inc.'s 2023 forecasts fell short of analysts' expectations due to a sharp decline in demand for its Covid-19 booster vaccines and the drug Paxlovid.

The company is projecting adjusted earnings for 2023 of $3.25 to $3.45 per share, well below analysts' average forecast of $4.31 per share. Revenue for the year will be about $67 billion, Pfizer said in a statement. Analysts had expected $71.7 billion.
