OrangeFox Recovery R11.0 is near. R11.0 heralds a new era for OrangeFox Recovery. We started development in last year, and right now we are adding finishing touches. You can find the changelog here.

Very soon we will start updating our devices to the R11.0 version.

Release timeline:
11-12 July: Stable R11.0 release for lavender
18-19 July: Stable R11.0 release for devices that successfully passed beta testing
19-20 July: The OrangeFox Recovery R11.0 sources will be made public

We have a week's window after the lavender release to be sure that R11.0 is even more thoroughly tested. After that, other devices will come with stable releases.

If your device is not updated at this time, please don't ask us about it. Maintainers also have a life, and they will make their releases at their earliest convenience.

Android users can now crop and rotate videos, and the music player was redesigned with a new layout and icons.

Hello. I'm Joker, and I have a bit of an annoucement to make: I'm leaving the Exynos7870 community.

True is I still keep my J7 Pro with me, but i just can't keep it up.

It's been almost two years since I entered this community, by having Anan add me at his testers group when he started the first testing builds for his a64 treble project, which was only for J5 Pro and J7 Pro. Since then, these two years have been like a roller coaster. Astrako coming at scene with his H-Rom, Spaget, SpagetX, Android Pie and Q, OneUi 1.0 and 2.0, the H-Vendor.... And dramas. Lots of dramas. I was involved in some of them, wasn't in others, but if there's something this community is now famous for, is the drama between devs and "devs".
Thankfully, I'll be out of that from now on.

What's going to happen to the Treble Support group and the Treble Newsletter channel?
They're going to stay, but it won't be me managing them. I have two candidates for it already, they just have to talk it out themselves to communicate me who's gonna have them in the end.

What's going to happen to me?
Eventually, I plan to start an AOSP GSI channel, using Phh patches, and do something for myself instead of just test and watch. If I get at least one GSI up and running, I'll ask the new owner of this channel to announce it. For the moment, all of that will remain private.

Exynos7870 has lived already for too much time. My bet is that it'll get to live a few Android versions more (Android R/11 and Android S/12) and then only 2 or 3 7870 users will remain around here.
