Forwarded from Anan's Exynos7870 NewsLetter (~{'Anan1211 ∆⃤'}~)
due to some recent events with one of my good friends and partner in the whole treble project, im afraid i cant promise i will deliver V4/V5 or whatever it was supposed to be called, as its now pointless without having him around.

Please do not blame him for anything related to the future of this project, as he was doing what was right, just the way Android development is, makes that not feasable.

before i sign off from this place, id like to thank him for all the contributions he have done to this community, and trying to help every single person he could.

Project Treble for Exynos7870 was not possible without him around to both Encourage, test and document my mess. and for that im greatful.

i do wish things turn out differently but if that wasnt the case, we had a good run. Thank you kique

Hey, Joker speaking. I would like to leave some words.

First of all, if someone thinks the motive behind my leaving is the fight I had with Kassem, that's just plain wrong.

True is that the shit with Kassem had something to do, but it was just driving me to realize that, what Kassem did with the repartition, is a hella more spread behavior than I thought. It made me realize that in XDA, no matter the community, the dev is totally free of doing things fair and well, or just doing things and call it a day. And that this last option, is sadly the more common.

For me, is a matter of basic ideals. I don't see it fair for the users. I can't be calm knowing these practices are actually done and no one gives a fuck about it. That's the reason behind my fight with Kassem.

Do I have actual hard feelings about Kassem?
The answer is a total no. Kassem can talk to me whenever he wants and he will get a calm and friendly conversation.

But I just can't be good and fine seeing these practices and leaving them, pretending nothing is happening at all. That's the reason behind me leaving the community. And ofc, when I change phone, not like I'll join the subsequent community.

What does this mean?
From now on, I'm just a normal user, who has a phone, and likes to use custom ROMs above stock.

Now, I would want to say few more things about Anan's last statement regarding 7870 deving.

I can feel just happiness and gratitude toward Anan, Kassem, Corsicanu and SPARTANICUS, along with everyone who was with me in the Exynos7870 Testing Group. I would name them all, but they're too many names.

But I don't feel killing the deving is a good idea. I see Anan's point on his message, but I can't share them. The only thing I did for the treble project is exactly the same I'm doing now leaving the community: following my ideals.

I wanted to give users everything they may need: documentation for the project, troubleshooting, support, and a newsletter to keep them up to date. All I did for the project was putting together all the shit Anan gave us, so I could give it to the upcoming users. Because I always thought that was the right way to do things.

Now, I'm just like the others: a mere user waiting for a new release. And everyone can have for sure that, even if I'm not in the community anymore, if they need a thing, I'll be there. After all, when everything calms and "Joker" stops being a name to call like Kassem's or Anan's names are, I'll come back to the groups. And I'll be there like the person I am now: another user like the others.

That is all. Thank you all for these months. They were one of the best seasons I had in my life

If anyone interested you can try this GCAM Port, Its working on J6 2018(7870). with HDR+, Night Sight and Lens Blur.

After installing, enable and disable night sight to get the viewfinder working.

Bugs:
- Stretched viewfinder, just enable HDR+ by default. It won't affect the final image.
- Video recording is broken. Viewfinder is also stretched but can be fixed by setting res. to 720p.
- Purple tint on bright parts of images. Try messing with camera values.
- Camera sometimes doesn't take pictures (usually when tapping on areas)
