У сканера докеров Trivy есть система плагинов. Самих плагинов не много, они не какие-то сверх-полезные, но могут пригодиться. Один из них scan2html, и как можно понять из названия, он генерирует html-репорт из сканирования.

Устанавливаем плагин:

trivy plugin install scan2html 

Сканируем:

trivy scan2html repo https://github.com/aquasecurity/trivy-ci-test --scanners vuln,misconfig,secret result.html

И на выходе получаем удобный и наглядный репорт с кучей информации.

Для пользователей kubectl тоже есть плагин - trivy-plugin-kubectl, но у меня нет kubectl, так что ничего сказать не могу.

От проектов странных, к вещам понятным и полезным в хозяйстве: SSH over HTTPS. Особо великой науки в этом нет, просто пара ловких пассов руками на стороне клиента и сервера. Зато, как только ты оказываешь в сети, где параноидально закрыто всё, кроме 80/443 и 53, ты - на коне.
P.S. Повесить SSH на 443 порт слишком просто. Нужно больше инкапсуляций!

BrowserBruter

In scenarios where encryption is implemented, the HTTP traffic is encrypted, making it difficult for traditional penetration testing tools to inject payloads and detect vulnerabilities. This limitation can hinder the effectiveness of these tools in identifying certain types of security vulnerabilities.

BrowserBruter is designed to overcome the limitations posed by encryption and other security mechanisms. By utilizing browser automation techniques, it is able to interact with web applications at browser level, so all of the attack will be as they have been manually done by the user by typing payloads in the input fields of the web application on browser, bypassing the encryption and injecting payloads in a way that traditional tools cannot. This allows BrowserBruter to effectively identify vulnerabilities and security issues that may be missed by other tools.

This approach:

  • Allows Pentester to fuzz the web application forms when the HTTP body (or part of the body) is encrypted making HTTP proxy tools like ZAP and BurpSuite or SQLMap unable to insert payloads in such traffic. Learn more here.
   • Creates a way to bypass captchas by allowing the pentester to manually perform the required human interactions and then proceed to payload insertions.
   • Can fuzz front-end when there is no HTTP traffic, for example when Input is utilized on the client side, i.e. when you want to brute force OTP input which is validated on the client side, so there is no HTTP Traffic.
   • Removes the burden of session management, auth handling and other micro management like CSRF handling while using HTTP proxy tools.

Ребята проделали огромную работу по проверке качества словарей и рулов для #hashcat и представили публичную табличку с результатами и КПД. Рулы для брута в комбинации с нагенеренными пасами под конкретную компанию дают феноменальные результаты. Даже старый добрый rockyou дает к примеру с рулом buka_400k огромный плюс.

В Лас-Вегасе прошла ежегодная конференция Black Hat USA 2024 и среди множества интересных докладов наш глаз зацепил доклад – Traceeshark - Interactive System Tracing & Runtime Security using eBPF (слайды и видео к сожалению пока недоступны).

В докладе исследователи представили новый инструмент traceeshark, а если быть точнее, то плагин для Wireshark. Traceeshark позволяет импортировать события, генерируемые tracee в Wireshark для дальнейшего анализа – например, kernel-level events и behavioral detections вместе с сетевым трафиком. Также этот плагин имеет возможность записывать Tracee events, также как это сделано с сетевыми пакетами в Wireshark.
