Residents of the towns of Kharayeb and Ansar were instructed to evacuate at least 300 meters from specific buildings marked on a map published by Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman.
The warnings were issued as the IDF carried out a wave of strikes against Hezbollah sites, after evacuation instructions were given earlier in three other Lebanese towns.
🎯 A short while ago, the IDF struck and eliminated the terrorist Abu Ali Salameh, a Hezbollah liaison officer, in the village of Yanouh in southern Lebanon in the Tyre area. The IDF says he was targeted while driving on a road near the coastal Lebanese city.
According to the IDF, Salameh managed Hezbollah’s activities in Yanouh, enabling the organization to operate within civilian areas and private properties and to embed terrorist infrastructure in the heart of the population through the deliberate exploitation of residents.
On December 13, 2025, Israel submitted a request via the US-led ceasefire oversight and enforcement mechanism for the Lebanese Armed Forces to act against a Hezbollah weapons storage facility in Yanouh. The IDF says Salameh received the report from the Lebanese Armed Forces and passed it on to additional Hezbollah operatives.
"Upon the arrival of the Lebanese Armed Forces, Hezbollah terrorists prevented them from dismantling the infrastructure by creating a gathering that enabled Hezbollah to move the weapons out of the property," the military says.
The IDF says it issued an evacuation warning ahead of a planned strike on the site, then postponed the strike after the Lebanese Armed Forces arrived in an attempt to dismantle the weapons cache.
The military says Salameh then coordinated with the Lebanese Armed Forces to document the site without the weapons, "thereby claiming that the site was empty."
"During the Lebanese Armed Forces' operation, several suspicious boxes were removed from the compound through the rear door of the property," the IDF adds.
The IDF says Salameh’s actions constituted a violation of the understandings and ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, and states it will continue to act to remove threats and defend the State of Israel.

The strikes targeted weapons storage facilities and an underground site used for storing weapons in several areas of southern Lebanon. The IDF said the infrastructure was embedded in civilian areas, describing it as another example of Hezbollah’s use of Lebanese civilians as human shields and its operations from within civilian assets.
⚠️ Iran Warns of Wider War: Iran’s Foreign Minister issued a warning regarding a potential conflict with the United States.

“Ahead of the Sabbath, I want to say to all citizens of Israel: the IDF is optimally prepared, both defensively and offensively. It is important to emphasize that there is no change to the Home Front Command’s instructions. We will ensure to update you if there is any change,” he said.
🛡️ Home Front Command status: Home Front Command instructions remain unchanged at this time as noted. In long-range missile scenarios originating from Yemen or Iran, missiles travel roughly 1,600–2,000 kilometers, and early alerts may be issued several minutes before impact, ahead of the standard red alert siren.
⏱️ Warning time differences: Unlike short-range rocket fire from Gaza or Lebanon, where red alerts typically provide about 15 seconds to 1.5 minutes to reach shelter, long-range missile threats involve earlier notification through alert systems before the usual siren. This creates a clear pikuach nefesh (life-saving) requirement to receive alerts on Shabbat.
📻 Shabbat-approved silent broadcasts: Radio and TV stations switch to silent broadcast mode on Shabbat, activating only for emergency alerts and official instructions, including guidance such as whether to remain indoors. If you do not have a radio or TV, these broadcasts can also be accessed via live streams on a phone or computer. It is strongly recommended to use both a silent radio or TV source and an alert app or website.
