Arab Sources: Hamas demands for a prisoner exchange agreement with Israel with an emphasis that they are not willing to give up any clause:

1. The cessation of hostilities a week in advance before the start of the deal.

2. An explicit declaration by Israel to (fully) withdraw from the Gaza Strip that includes an international commitment to guarantee the withdrawal.

3. The cessation of hostilities in Gaza. Not a humanitarian reprieve. (Meaning end of war.)

4. Freedom of movement in the Strip that will allow the displaced to return to their homes throughout the Strip without any conditions or restrictions.

5. From the first day of the deal, to introduce humanitarian aid throughout the entire Strip without dividing the Strip into security districts.

6. Hamas and the resistance organizations will submit a list of those who are expected to be released up to 48 hours before the deal is carried out. There will be no preliminary list of the number of (Israeli) hostages and bodies since the data collection operation requires time after the fighting ceases.

7. Hamas requests the release of prisoners in the first phase, with the first 1-160 being from the senior ranks (most heinous mass murderers) and those who have been in prison for a long time: Marwan Barghouti, Ahmed Saadat, Abdullah Barghouti, Ibrahim Hamed, Abbas Elsayed

8. The rest of the terrorists who will be released will be according to their seniority and the number of years they have been imprisoned in Israel and the size of the sentence imposed on them in the verdict, regardless of their place of residence or their nationality. (Meaning whether they are from Gaza, West Bank, or Israel.)

9. The same applies to the terrorists imprisoned in Israel, regardless of the punishment they received or their place of residence.

10. The same applies to the sick terrorists, regardless of the punishment they received, their age and their identity.

11. The same goes for the terrorists who are older than 60.

12. The same goes for terrorists under the age of 18 without any association or punishment according to international law.

13. After the completion of the first part, the second phase of the deal will begin, which will include a cease-fire and Israel's withdrawal from the Strip, and the opening of all the crossings for the entry of aid and the rebuilding of the Strip without Israeli control of the Strip.

Without meeting these conditions, there will be no transition to the other phases that will include (the return of) bodies of (dead) hostages.

▪️HEZBOLLAH LEBANON NEGOTIATION LEAKS..

The American envoy Amos Hochstein is hopping between Beirut and Israel, is trying to bring about a multi-stage deal that will eventually return peace to the northern border and the residents of both sides of the border (Israel-Lebanon) will return to their homes.

Hochstein is building the move in the first phase of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which will also bring peace on the northern border, at least as far as Hezbollah is concerned, who said they would end the fire.

Hochstein left one of his senior aides in Beirut to continue the dialogue with the Lebanese officials at the same time as the ongoing talks in Israel.

According to a number of leaks that came out of talks between Lebanese officials and Western officials, it appears that first a ceasefire must be guaranteed, secondly activation of a plan to deploy large forces of the Lebanese army in the entire border area (without specifying the depth), and thirdly a commitment to the unarmed presence of anyone except the army.


Hochstein was quoted as saying, "The time does not allow at the moment to talk about the literal implementation of (UN) resolution 1701, especially since Israel may not commit to stopping the air violations that it considers necessary for its security."

▪️DEAL RISKS:

▪️RED SEA.. US military's Central Command, said in a statement that US forces shot down a ballistic missile and 3 drones launched by the Houthis at the warship USS Carney, which is in the Red Sea. It was also reported that US forces later destroyed 3 anti-ship missiles and 3 unmanned Houthi ships.

(( This means the Houthis, without fear, are directly targeting the U.S. military. ))

▪️A HERO SOLDIER HAS FALLEN.. in battle in Gaza: David Sasson, 21, of Ganot Hadar. May his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem, and may G-d avenge his blood! Five more were seriously injured in the battle.

The late Sergeant David Sasson fell in Khan Yunis: : A force entered a multi-story building as part of the raids carried out by the fighters in the Hamad neighborhood. A number of terrorists ambushed the fighters on the upper floor, after the force entered the building - the terrorists fired an RPG at them and set off a bomb that had been placed there in advance.

A number of fighters were injured, the rest - strove to make contact with the terrorists and waged a very-close-range battle against them. Two terrorists were killed on the spot, and later - two more terrorists who escaped were killed by a drone strike.

▪️REPEAT PROBLEM.. In a week and a half, 3 almost identical incidents of a bomb explosion inside a trapped house that our forces entered. 7 were killed in these incidents, and about 25 fighters were injured, some of them very seriously. There is no significant new directive or tactics from IDF officials for entering houses that are not purified. ((And ‘just bomb it’ is no longer ok because international reasons.))

🔸DEAL(s).. all reports concur that Israel has accepted painful terms for a ceasefire and hostage release - to be able to get hostages released and placate the Americans. Hamas seems to be demanding extreme terms with little flexibility and blocking the deal since Israel won’t accept “lose the war” terms.

In Lebanon, US mediators have made no progress.

🔸PROPAGANDA.. Hamas “food truck massacre 1” was effective but only for a few days, as Israel’s video based response (actual drone video) convinced the media to quietly drop it.

“Food distribution site - massacre 2” did not get traction, lack of pictures limiting impact.

They are trying to get traction on “Palestinian women were sexually abused in Israeli custody”, to offset the UN accepted report on severe rape and abuse during the massacre and to hostages - even children, but so far only minor traction.

The propaganda winner is “Gaza starvation”. That campaign has full traction with photos of 2 Gaza babies with starvation features actually due to medical conditions, and has been picked up into policy response by the US and UK, and is being turned into Ramadan ads for the Arab world.

From Israel, airstrikes on Hezbollah used buildings throughout south Lebanon using ‘large’ bombs, often resulting in total building destruction. Also targeted strikes on leadership personnel, often in vehicles.

🔸UN.. The US is supposedly bringing a UN Security Council resolution on a ceasefire, but it requires the parties to agree and the hostages to be released.

South Africa has appealed to the International Criminal Court citing “widespread starvation” in Gaza (see Propaganda item 4 above), demanding they order Israel to allow increased aid.

🔸AID.. Israeli anti-aid protestors have been generally successful in slowing the pace of aid by blocking inspection crossings daily. Recently the police, under orders from the government, have increased their actions to clear such protests.

Aid airdrops made great optics, but videos by Gazans show some contempt for the products received (such as Skittles), and some are expired (from Arab countries). They also note MRE’s (meals-ready-to-eat long-term food packs used by the military) seem small and not satisfying.

Aid entering Gaza continues to be either attacked and looted by crowds, endangering the drivers and damaging the trucks, or immediately hijacked by Hamas. The question is not “is enough aid entering” but ‘WHERE IS IT GOING? WHO’S STEALING IT?”, and noting a fair amount of it then shows up in the markets for sale.

🔸RED SEA & THE HOUTHIS.. the Houthis have upped their shipping attack pace, targeted 1-2 cargo ships a day. They have also now directly targeted U.S. warships. They have hit a number of cargo ships with moderate damage, have sunk one, and have now killed a crew and caused the abandonment of another.

The U.S. / UK shipping protection coalition is shooting down drones and missiles daily, as well as bombing Yemen daily. However statements from U.S. military officials indicate the US is having problems finding valid targets - their intelligence on Yemen is poor.

Israel refused Hamas's demand for a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of all its forces from the Gaza Strip, and the return of the displaced to the northern part of the strip.

🟠AMERICANS SAY NO TO ISRAEL.. (Amit Segal) The US administration leaked to the Washington Post: “They are considering not allowing use of American weapons if there is an operation in Rafah.” (Last Hamas city in Gaza, where their leadership and the hostages are.)

(( Another “pressure the situation” leak. This not official policy, it was not discussed with Israel - this is under the table pressure that may or may not be associated with the policy makers as opposed to an advisor who disagrees. It is also a silly statement, as the US can’t stop the use of weapons they’ve transferred. They can threaten to not sell ammunition or parts in the future, or stop intelligence cooperation, etc. ))

.. Hamas in an official statement: “Our delegation left Cairo today to hold a consultation with the leadership. Efforts and negotiations continue to stop the fighting, return the displaced and provide aid to the Palestinian people.”
