During these 88 days of internet blackout, university shutdowns, and wartime lockdown, my only refuge was movie and series archives. I managed to watch a few shows, and here is how I'd rank them strictly from a cinematography standpoint:
The Wire: An absolute, undisputed masterpiece in terms of direction and visuals.
Twin Peaks: Visually stunning, but definitely not for everyone; highly artistic and pure "Lynchian."
Banshee & Vikings: Next in line—well-crafted and solid.
Mr Inbetween: A cut above the usual mainstream stuff with surprisingly great framing.
Reacher & The Boys (Season 5): Purely for entertainment; at the bottom of this specific list.
(All of these aside, The Sopranos remains the greatest series in history by a wide margin for me, followed right after by Sons of Anarchy).
