But we were forced to close the Strait of Hormuz to preserve Islamic Iran. And the fate of Islamic Iran is not ours alone; it is tied to the fate of each of you.
For Iran is the last fortress of humanity against the complete dominion of Evil. Should Iran fall, they will impose their rule over the entire earth, and the darkest future imaginable will unfold. So while the closure of the Strait may bring hardship to your lives in the short and medium term, in the long term it is the very thing that secures your freedom, and the freedom of all mankind.
