|[ وضع الزهور على القبور عند زيارتها ]|

❍ فضيلة الشيخ العلامة/
محمد بن صالح بن عثيمين رحمه الله تعالى :

*❪✵❫ السُّـــ↶ــؤَال ُ:*
أخبرني أحد المصلين في مسجد الحي أنه يوجد في بلاده أن بعض المسلمين هداهم الله يوزعون الورود والرياحين وأشباه ذلك على قبور موتاهم والدعاء لهم برفع اليدين تجاه القبور فأخبرت بأن هذا لا يجوز، وأن هذا بدعة فما نصيحتكم لمثل هؤلاء؟

*❪✵❫ الجَــ↶ــوَاب ُ:*
نصيحتنا لهؤلاء أن يتّقوا الله عز وجل؛ وأن يكون عملهم على منهج النبي صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم وأصحابه؛ وقد كان النبي صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم إذا خرج إلى المقابر يصلي عليهم؛ ويدعو لهم؛ ولم يكن يحمل معه الزهور؛ لتوضع على قبورهم.

ولم يكن عليه الصلاة والسلام يدعو لهم مستقبل القبلة؛ رافعاً يديه؛ بل كان يقول: السلام عليكم دار قوم مؤمنين؛ وإنا إن شاء الله لمن اللاحقين؛ يرحم الله المستقدمين منّا ومنكم والمستأخرين؛ نسأل الله لنا ولكم العافية؛ اللهم لا تحرمنا أجرهم ولا تفتنا بعدهم واغفر لنا ولهم.

ثم كذلك أيضاً لا يدعو هؤلاء المقبورين؛ فإنّ دعوتهم شرك أكبر والعياذ بالله؛ لأنه لا يمكن أن يقدروا على إجابته أبداً؛ قال الله تبارك وتعالى: ﴿ إن تدعوهم لا يسمعوا دعاءكم ولو سمعوا ما استجابوا لكم ويوم القيامة يكفرون بشرككم ولا ينبّئك مثل خبير ﴾ وقال تعالى: ﴿ إنّ الله يُسمع من يشاء وما أنت بمسمع من في القبور إن أنت إلاّ نذير ﴾

|[ Placing Flowers on Graves When Visiting Them ]|

❍ The Virtuous Scholar / Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih ibn ‘Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him:

❪✵❫ Question:
One of the worshippers in my local mosque told me that in his country, some Muslims—may Allah guide them—distribute flowers and fragrant plants on the graves of their deceased and raise their hands in supplication toward the graves. I informed him that this is not permissible and that it is an innovation (bid‘ah). What is your advice for such people?

❪✵❫ Answer:
Our advice to these people is to fear Allah, the Almighty, and to ensure that their actions follow the method of the Prophet ﷺ and his companions. The Prophet ﷺ, when he visited graves, would pray for the deceased and supplicate for them, but he did not carry flowers to place on their graves.

Moreover, the Prophet ﷺ did not supplicate toward the Qibla while raising his hands for the deceased, but rather he would say:
"Peace be upon you, O dwellers of these graves, believers. Indeed, we, Allah willing, will join you. May Allah have mercy on those who have gone before us and those who come after us. We ask Allah for well-being for ourselves and for you. O Allah, do not deprive us of their reward, do not let us be led astray after them, and forgive us and them."

Furthermore, these deceased people should not be invoked directly. Supplicating to them is considered major shirk (associating partners with Allah), may Allah protect us. They are completely unable to answer such prayers. Allah the Almighty says:

> “If you were to call upon them, they would not hear your call; and if they did hear, they would not respond to you. On the Day of Resurrection, they will deny your association [of partners]. None can inform you like the All-Aware.” (Qur’an 35:14)

And He also says:

> “Indeed, Allah hears whoever He wills. And you cannot make those in the graves hear.” (Qur’an 35:22)

Abu Ad-Dardā’ (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:

“Seek knowledge.

If you are unable to, then love its people.

If you do not love them, then do not hate them.”
