the Fitna(sedition) of the year 1388 was not limited to what was seen in the streets....it was pursuing very dangerous goals. It was not possible to resolve the problem with different kinds of political and security measures. There was a need for a massive popular movement and this movement was carried out on the 9th of Dey.

فتنه‌ی ۸۸ تنها آن چیزی نبود که توی خیابان به وسیله‌ی تعدادی آدم دیده شد.... هدفهای بسیار خطرناکی دنبال این کار بود، که با این برخوردهای گوناگون سیاسی و امنیتی و اینها حل نمیشد؛ یک حرکت عظیم مردمی لازم داشت؛ که این حرکت، حرکت ۹ دی بود.
