A 19-year-old Afghan asylum seeker has been sentenced to 2.5 years in prison after being convicted of raping five goats and a lamb near Marseille, France. One of the goats later died from its injuries.
Police caught him in the act in April after the farmer installed CCTV cameras following weeks of repeated attacks on his livestock.
The suspect denied the allegations throughout the case and reportedly told a psychiatrist that authorities had overreacted because the victims were "just animals."
He also claimed he committed the acts to avoid raping a woman.🫴
