📖 Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “You will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Should I not direct you to a thing which, if you do, will foster love amongst you? Spread the Salam amongst yourselves.” [Muslim 54a]

📖 Sahl ibn Hunayf reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever greets with As-salamu alaykum, ten goods are recorded for him. Whoever greets with As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatu-llah, twenty good deeds are recorded for him. Whoever greets with As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatu-llahi wa barakatuh, thirty good deeds are recorded for him.” [Al-Mu'jam Al-Kabir 5563; Graded Sahih Li Ghayrihi by Al-Albani in Sahih At-Targheeb 2711]

➡️ Giving/initiating the Salam is highly recommended (not obligatory), but if your fellow Muslim gives you the Salam, then it is obligatory for you to respond

💡 If someone enters upon a group of people and gives the Salam to the group (not any one person specifically), then it is obligatory for at least one person in that group to respond

✅ Say This Immediately After Witr Prayer

💡 This remembrance should be said immediately after finishing the Witr prayer, and if Witr is prayed in congregation, each person should recite this remembrance individually, NOT in unison

➡️ “Dhikr (remembrance) in unison is an innovation (bid'ah) because it is something that has been introduced into the religion. What is prescribed is to remember Allah, may He be exalted, without reciting in unison.” [Scholars Of The Standing Committee, Fatawaa Al-Lajnah Ad-Da'imah, 24/268]

📖 Abu Ayyub narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Witr is a duty. Whoever wants to pray Witr with seven rak'ahs, let him do so, whoever wants to pray Witr with five rak'ahs, let him do so, whoever wants to pray Witr with three rak'ahs, let him do so, and whoever wants to pray Witr with one rak'ah, let him do so.” [Nasa'i 1710, Graded Sahih by Al-Albani in Sahih An-Nasa'i 1709]

⚠️ Witr is an emphasized Sunnah, and although it is not obligatory, it is highly disliked to abandon it

💎 Laylatul-Qadr (The Night Of Decree)

🗯 When is Laylatul-Qadr?

📖 The following four points have been derived from “Sittings During The Blessed Month Of Ramadan” by Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen رَحِمَهُ ٱلله spanning from pages 214-217:

🔢In the month of Ramadan [Qur'an 97:1 & 2:185]

🔢In the last 10 nights of Ramadan [Muslim 1169]

🔢Most likely to be in the odd nights [Bukhari 2017], most likely to be in the last seven nights [Muslim 1165a], and most likely to be the 27th night [Muslim 762b]

🔢Laylatul-Qadr is not exclusive to one specific night every year, rather, it moves from one night to another [Bukhari 2021]

‼️ As you can see above, it is only likely that Laylatul-Qadr will be on the 27th, NOT a guarantee

🧠 For those who are tempted to strive only on the 27th, consider this:

🔑 There are 10 keys presented to you and you're informed that one of them opens a safe containing billions of dollars. You're not certain which one opens the safe, so wouldn't you do everything possible to take all 10 of them? Even if it was highly likely that it was one of them specifically, would you take the chance and leave the other 9 keys behind? No one of sound reasoning would leave even one key behind, so push hard in all of the last 10 nights to ensure that you don't miss Laylatul-Qadr.

➡️ Any time that you spend worshipping Allah is highly rewardable, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan. Every moment in Ramadan is extremely precious, not just Laylatul-Qadr, so the whole month should be treated with a sense of urgency to perform worship in abundance. This alone should be enough motivation to exert yourself throughout all of the days and nights of Ramadan.

🗯 What should be done in the last 10 nights of Ramadan to make the most of Laylatul-Qadr?

🎙 Sheikh Saleh Alfawzan حَفِظَهُ ٱلله clarifies HERE that it's best to spend the night in prayer, recitation of the Qur'an, and du'aa (supplication), with an emphasis on prayer

🗣 One of the best du'aa to repeat throughout the last 10 nights is: “Allahumma in-naka afuw-wun, tuhib-bul-afwa, fa-fu an-nee (O Allah; You are Pardoning; You love to pardon; so pardon me).” [Tirmidhi 3513, Graded Sahih by Al-Albani in Sahih Al-Tirmidhi 3513]

💡 Although there are nights where it's more likely, no one can know for certain when Laylatul-Qadr will occur, so the best practice is to repeat this du'aa abundantly throughout all of the last 10 nights of Ramadan

✅ Eid Al-Fitr

📖 Anas ibn Malik reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Medina during two days which they were celebrating. The Prophet said: “What are these two days?” They said: “We would celebrate these two days in the time of (pre-Islamic) ignorance.” The Prophet said: “Verily, Allah has replaced these two days with two better days: Eid Al-Adha and Eid Al-Fitr.” [Abi Dawud 1134, Graded Sahih by Al-Albani in Hidayat Al-Ruwat 1384]

🗓 Fasting Six Days In Shaw-wal (The Month Immediately After Ramadan)

✅ “The wisdom behind fasting the six days of Shaw-wal is the same as all the other voluntary actions that Allah legislated; to complete the obligatory deeds. So fasting the six days is like the sunnah prayers after the obligatory prayers; to complete it from any deficiencies.” [Ibn Uthaymeen, Fatawa Noor Ala Al-Darb 7/352]

💎 “Voluntary acts are a safeguard for the obligatory acts; they protect them and make up for their deficiencies. And they are the most beloved deeds to Allah after the obligatory ones.” [Ibn Al-Qayyim, Madarij As-Salikeen 1/107]

✅ Dress Code Conditions For The Muslim Woman

➡️ Leaving an opening for the eyes: “There is nothing wrong with covering the face with the niqab or burqa which has two openings for the eyes only, because this was known at the time of the Prophet ﷺ, because there is a need for that. If nothing shows but the eyes, that is acceptable.” [Saleh Alfawzan, Fatawa Al-Mar'ah Al-Muslimah 1/399]

✋ Covering the hands: “It is proven in Al-Saheeh that the woman in ihraam is not allowed to wear niqab and gloves. This is one of the things that indicate that niqab and gloves were customary among women who were not in ihraam. This implies that they covered their faces and hands.” [Ibn Taymiyyah, Mujmu' Al-Fatawa 15/371-372]

‼️ “A woman should remember that although her beauty may attract men, she will eventually leave this world. She will be placed in a hole and covered up with dirt, and her beauty and splendor will then vanish as earthworms devour her body. Her good deeds and actions will then hold her hostage.” [Abdur-Razzaq Al-Badr, Maw'idah An-Nisa pg. 39]

💡 “There is no doubt that Islam came to give honor to the woman, guard her, protect her from the wolves of mankind, secure her rights, and raise her status.” [Ibn Baz, Fatawa Ibn Baz v. 4 pg. 308]

🗣 Send Peace & Blessings Upon The Prophet ﷺ

➡️ Sheikh Aziz bin Farhan حَفِظَهُ ٱلله mentions 40 tremendous benefits of sending peace and blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ HERE, and clarifies HERE that the best way of doing so is “Salat al-Ibraaheemiyya” (even outside of prayer)

💡 A shorter way is to say, “Allaahumma sal-lee wa sal-lim ala Muhammad” as explained HERE by Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen رَحِمَهُ ٱلله

‼️ It's important to send peace and blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ throughout the week, with an increase on Friday:

📖 Aws ibn Aws narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Among the most excellent of your days is Friday; on it Adam was created, on it he died, on it the last trumpet will be blown, and on it the shout will be made, so invoke more blessings on me that day, for your blessings will be submitted to me.” The people asked: Messenger of Allah, how can it be that our blessings will be submitted to you while your body is decayed? He replied: “Allah, the Exalted, has prohibited the earth from consuming the bodies of Prophets.” [Abi Dawud 1047, Graded Sahih by Al-Albani in Sahih Abi Dawud 1047]

💎 Asim ibn Ubaidullah said that he heard Abdullah ibn 'Amir ibn Rabi'ah narrating from his father that the Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no Muslim who sends peace and blessings upon me, but that the angels will send peace and blessings upon him as long as he sends peace and blessings upon me. So let a person do a little of that or a lot.” [Ibn Majah 907, Graded Hasan by Al-Albani in Sahih Al-Jami' 5744]

📖 Abdullah ibn Amr reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “The best supplication is that which is made on the Day of Arafah.
