He has a vested interest to increase net immigration to increase the demand as Cairn Homes will then have to build more homes, as stated by Cairn Homes via the IIP quoted here in the Irish Times article, which also states the number of housing being built each year will soon be 47,000 a year rather than 25,000 as planned under Ireland 2040 - why the need for this amount of housing if birth rates are below the sub-replacement of 2.1?

The other firm listed is Ires Reit is Ireland's biggest landlord. So a firm with Soros money and Ireland's biggest landlord are both saying immigration is needed for them to increase profits lol. Tell that to your champagne socialist friends next time they try tell you they hate landlords.

''Cairn Homes would be considered an important stakeholder in Ireland Agenda 2040, and more specifically, the Implementation Roadmap for the National Planning Framework. All local councils are producing updated LAPs with NPF a guideline document. We are talking 10% avg increase in population in all small but decent sized towns. Larger towns will see greater increases in population and the money will be there to build as its a key part of the agenda.
It will be interesting with how the houses are allocated. There are Irish families on housing lists for years and the LAPs will say they will be accommodated. I wouldn't be convinced they will be treated as a priority though.
