and I've heard too that a lot of the creators of the modern internet/media culture are not happy about what they've created ---@evanjacques

so we need antisexism, antiracism, antiablism, anticolonialism in our media spaces otherwise we're swimming around in unnoticed and uninterrogated prejudice ---@evanjacques

and anything that causes us to feel fear needs to be examined compassionately in a safe space (so probably not mainstream social media) ---@evanjacques

If you put 100 black ants and 100 red ants and put them in a glass jar nothing will happen,but if you take a jar and shake it violently,the ants will start killing each other.
The red ants believe that the the black ants are enemies,while black ants believe that the red ants are the enemies when the real enemy is the person who shook the jar.

The same is true in society.

I need people to be kind to one another.

I need people to be patient, gentle, and respectful of one another.

I need all of us to recognize how much we really don't know.

...and how much we can learn and create when we ask considered questions and collaborate.

I need to feel safe from the risk of terrible violence.

I need to know that people who support me are also committed to supporting that which saves my life and the lives of my friends.

I need to be surrounded by people who are courageous about holding space for surprising, confusing, or momentarily upsetting statements.

I need community where we imagine nourishing solutions.
