"Yet Leviathan, a symbol of the unconscious and of mythic strength and power, also teaches us not to repress the roar of our spirit, for in it is the Divine Presence."

Porphyria's Lover
BY ROBERT BROWNING
The rain set early in to-night,
The sullen wind was soon awake,
It tore the elm-tops down for spite,
And did its worst to vex the lake:
I listened with heart fit to break.
When glided in Porphyria; straight
She shut the cold out and the storm,
And kneeled and made the cheerless grate
Blaze up, and all the cottage warm;
Which done, she rose, and from her form
Withdrew the dripping cloak and shawl,
And laid her soiled gloves by, untied
Her hat and let the damp hair fall,
And, last, she sat down by my side
And called me. When no voice replied,
She put my arm about her waist,
And made her smooth white shoulder bare,
And all her yellow hair displaced,
And, stooping, made my cheek lie there,
And spread, o'er all, her yellow hair,
Murmuring how she loved me — she
Too weak, for all her heart's endeavour,
To set its struggling passion free
From pride, and vainer ties dissever,
And give herself to me for ever.
But passion sometimes would prevail,
Nor could to-night's gay feast restrain
A sudden thought of one so pale
For love of her, and all in vain:
So, she was come through wind and rain.
Be sure I looked up at her eyes
Happy and proud; at last I knew
Porphyria worshipped me; surprise
Made my heart swell, and still it grew
While I debated what to do.
That moment she was mine, mine, fair,
Perfectly pure and good: I found
A thing to do, and all her hair
In one long yellow string I wound
Three times her little throat around,
And strangled her. No pain felt she;
I am quite sure she felt no pain.
As a shut bud that holds a bee,
I warily oped her lids: again
Laughed the blue eyes without a stain.
And I untightened next the tress
About her neck; her cheek once more
Blushed bright beneath my burning kiss:
I propped her head up as before,
Only, this time my shoulder bore
Her head, which droops upon it still:
The smiling rosy little head,
So glad it has its utmost will,
That all it scorned at once is fled,
And I, its love, am gained instead!
Porphyria's love: she guessed not how
Her darling one wish would be heard.
And thus we sit together now,
And all night long we have not stirred,
And yet God has not said a word!

Demetra George, Mysteries of the Dark Moon: https://demetra-george.com/bio
' Lilith appears in Goethe’s Faust, Part 1. In the midst of the revelry atop the Broken in the Walpurgis Night scene, Lilith appears, the supreme temptress who even frightens Mephistopheles. He warns Faust:
Beware of her fair hair, for she excels All women in the magic of her locks; And when she winds them around a young man’s neck, She will not ever set him free again.24
And in the Pre-Raphaelite artistic movement Dante Gabriell Rossetti portrays Lilith in the following poem.
Of Adam’s first wife, Lilith, it is told (The witch he loved before the gift of Eve,) That, ere the snake’s, her sweet tongue could deceive, And her enchanted hair was the first gold. And still she sits, young while the earth is old, And, subtly of herself contemplative, Draws men to watch the bright web she can weave, Till heart and body and life are in its hold. The rose and the poppy are her flower; for where Is he not found, O Lilith, whom shed scent And soft-shed kisses and soft sleep shall snare? Lo! as that youth’s eyes burned at thine, so went Thy spell through him, and left his straight neck bent And round his heart one strangling golden hair.25 '

Mysteries of the Dark Moon - Astrology Classes - Demetra George
Demetra explores the symbolism of the Moon as the Divine Feminine and the possibility that the disappearance and reappearance of the Goddess was a factor of the natural waning and waxing phases of the lunar cycle.

Every person we interact with has some kind of answer to this question. It is important that we discover that answer with every person we are interacting with, especially those with authority to initiate more collective action in fullest awareness of inclusive safety needs and ensuring no harm is done in helping.
Asking this question as part of our initial interactions is how we begin to establish trust and manifest our most helpful answers. —-@maxmorris

To Force Climate Action, We Need More Than Just Protests
Two years ago, the Sunrise Movement and Extinction Rebellion both captured media attention through bold direct action. Since then, Sunrise has combined protest with political work challenging fossil-fuel interests. XR and other groups tepid about electoral…
