'As soon as I thus heard their plan, I turned my mind away
And set it flying over the plain. To the Wild Ones I did say
"Oh, come to me, my free friends all! Oh, come to my right hand
We must prevent these lords' intent of the claiming of our land
If they should rule this land once more, we shall all be servant-men-
And you, my dears, shall be captives here and never run free again!"
I bound my mind to the Wild Ones' minds, and I called as I never did call
'Til seven mares and a stallion bold came into the ancient hall
Just seven mares and a stallion bold, the Magic Mirror and me
To stay the command of the Wizards' band and keep the Plains-folk free
So I bound my soul to the Wild Ones' souls as I'd never done before
To bind our might in a ring of light, and fight in a Wizards' war'

The Voice
Listen to the voice that tells you no when somethingβs off,
And the prickle of your skin when something isnβt what you thought.
Listen to the goosebumps, alongside something new,
And the flutter in your tummy when that path is right for you.
Listen to the friends who come inside when lights are low,
And the ones who stay to clear when the party people go.
Listen if you must to the other friends you have,
But remember they are often not around when you are sad.
Listen to your elders if their smiles are wise and true,
They have many tales to tell and all your worries theyβve been through.
Listen to the people life delivers at your feet,
The ones youβve no idea, how you even came to meet.
Listen carefully to all the voices in your life,
But please heed me when I say that there is one whoβll you bring you strife.
That little nasty voice that seems to live inside your mind,
The one who says youβre useless and the one whoβs never kind.
Itβs that voice you must beware of from your dawn until your dusk,
It will convince you are worthless and wear you down to husk.
Itβs a voice you made yourself when the world first broke your heart,
But if you choose to block it out, a brand new part of life will start.
