"“My child, you have endured seventeen years of pain, driven into your soul by your mother. I can see the hurt in you, and I know you want to give up. I am a fair ruler, and I do not wish for any of my people to suffer. However, the universe must be balanced. I will give you a choice. I can end your suffering, or you can choose not to let another suffer in the way that you have.”

I ran the options over in my head, as memories of my mother flashed through. I just wanted to be done with that part of my life, and never have to see her again, but I didn’t think that would be possible in the foreseeable future. I had already been through seventeen years of this. I didn’t know how many more I could take. However, I knew that my suffering would be worth it if some little girl didn’t have to go through the same things I did. I had made my decision. I wanted to save someone else.

“Good,” the entity voiced, “then I will allow you to do so."

"Evaluating what we think we know in terms of narrative significance—Whose story does this advance? Which characters are undeveloped? What future narratives does this enable, and which does it foreclose?— in addition to truth-value can offer a solution to paralyzing skepticism and can spur coalitional political action in the face of uncertainty." — Melanie Bowman • https://t.me/IntuitiveStory/468https://t.me/IntuitiveSocialLearning/797https://t.me/IntuitivePublicRadio/9038
