What does it mean to bridge emergent strength?

' Dear readers, it is with deeply mixed emotions that I write to say that this will be the last monthly issue of The MOON for the foreseeable future.

The MOON’s success at attracting great writers has created a huge pile of submissions to read each month (and in truth, I don’t get to all of them).

In addition, the production aspect of reading widely to identify prospective interview subjects, scheduling and interviewing said thought-leaders, transcribing and editing the interviews, reviewing films, finding quotes for MOON Shine, selecting and editing all of the essays, memoirs, poetry, and short stories and uploading them, along with author bios, on a monthly basis has become too much.

I’d hoped to raise enough funds to hire assistance, but that hasn’t happened (though I am forever grateful to you wonderful readers and writers who have contributed). 

Therefore, I’m signing off for now and taking a break.

I’m including the donation links for old times’ sake.

Maybe donations will suffice to pay me to write a grant or two that could underwrite The MOON for another few years.

But if not, no worries.

I am proud of the work The MOON has shared since December 2012.

I couldn’t have done it without all you writers and readers.

Intuitive Bridge creates and connects systems that center survivors of greatest severity as a commitment to public health, embodied recovery, respectful communication, and inclusive community resourcing.

Paid workgroup membership offers private materials, private group interactions, and 1-to-1 support opportunities with encouragement and requirements to bring new learned skillsets into public social community activities.

This survivor-led workgroup provides assistance to survivors’ projects across the Intuitive community network. 

Support for Intuitive Bridge restores cultural competency and reduces health disparity in populations where harms have already been long compounded, especially in Black and/or Indigenous communities of color and in situations of environmental disaster, severe disablement, traumatic diaspora, and human trafficking.

The work of Intuitive Bridge prevents premature death, suicidality, and intersectional violence by building safe, inclusive communities.

Each of our Intuitive Community Gatherings are usually a day-long affair, though many times we have specific events occurring between noon and 5pm Eastern or at other times of day.

These gatherings have often been asynchronous and private, as well as real time or public, to assist various survivors’ groups in participating. 

As October winds into November, Intuitive Bridge will be presenting our most crucial materials to you as part of an emerging public platform where you can also support us financially. 

Importantly: No one will be turned away for lack of funds. 

Your generosity in purchasing access, sharing donations, and helping us to secure funding establishes subsidized access for survivors in our network who need the support of this interconnected strength in order to participate.
