Deck: The Wildwood Tarot
Spread: Card of the Day
Date: Mon Mar 04 09:23:42 EST 2019

Today's Card
Six of Bows β€’ Abundance (Upright)

Description   In the heart of a forest clearing is a six-spoked, star-shaped log fire, formed from trimmed but unfletched bow staves. It radiates light and heat and forms the pattern of the seasons. The fire is surrounded with representations of all manner of natural forest riches from the summer season.

Meaning   A time to reap the benefits of summer abundance and to accept the rewards and blessings that are a result of endurance. By patiently attending to what you have sown, the blessings of the new growth will be bountiful and rich. We humbly share the plenty of the ripening year with those less fortunate than ourselves.

Reading points   The Wheel turns and the time to enjoy the fruits and rewards of the summer season has arrived. Patience acknowledges the plentiful bounty which delivers the gifts and rewards for your efforts. Now is the time to allow this generous feeling of well-being to flow freely through and around you, and to enjoy the pleasures and sustenance these healing and revitalizing gifts can offer. Sometimes, after a period of stress and hard struggle, the process of healthy relaxation is vital to re-arm and re-energize the spirit in preparation for the challenges of the coming winter. The joy of sharing and gifting your own abundance with others is also a natural part of the process and brings its own inner peace and satisfaction. Your generous gifts to others will bring solace during the coming seasons and remind everyone that the Wheel continues to turn on its inevitable and stoical journey. Give thanks and accept the blessings of the changes that occur in life at this time. We share the bounty of the forest and commune with the Wildwood denizens in our everyday life.

' Volunteering online for solutions to severe situations

I and a small group of others are volunteering every day online to coordinate community support and crisis aid for individuals affected severely by disability, marginalization, and environmental hardship who cannot find help anywhere else.

Each one of us is severely affected ourselves.

For a long time we have been looking for other organizations dedicated to doing the work we are doing out of necessity, but so far, no luck. (Yet, hope! 🌿)

We focus on being friends to one another, inventing new ways to get more of all our needs met, more effectively addressing conflict and suicidality by collaborating toward necessary situation change, and increasing safety for everybody in our communities.

We are looking for more people who are working on this, who want to work on it, and we are wondering why more people aren't.

It is the most effective way we have found to address the problems we are facing, often overlooked or denied by more mainstream volunteer organizations.

I and all of us would be very grateful for assistance finding other groups working on these same things, and to be connected with individuals who want to work on this.

Please feel free to message me or ask questions.

Please also remember that we are severely disabled and affected by extremity ourselves, seeking to find others who recognize these kinds of collaborations are needed, and doing this work in an effort to save our lives so far without the support of a larger organization.

Thank you for reading. '

Re: gift economy advantages when confronting cultural income disability, "we pay, of course" implications.
Re: Disabled people then lose their lives because they are not thought of by tech creators, even though problematic elements of our culture are compoundingly disabling especially to those in poverty. (And since disability is also impoverishing...)
