How do you thrive with limited water? Hopi dry-land farmers have been positioning their fields at the base of small watersheds to catch the nutrients and waters that run down after monsoon rains. Ahkima Honyumptewa has carried on this tradition and shares with us how this relates to farming in an era of climate instability. We also touch on the role of the human being in the universe as well as the importance of women in society! Enjoy!

Blessings @IntuitiveFood !
Food forestry is close to my heart!
Today my mother and I were discussing larger tree species of which we could acquire saplings to relocate to a low area now mostly populated by sand willows.
She suggested cottonwood, whose saplings she’s noticing around. I’m going to keep my eye out for their particular bright green leaves!
I must have been hungry: I wondered, could any of the hickory varieties grow in a very wet area? it’s too cold here for pecans, which i had thought of first as I believe they can handle wet soil, and the two are related….
Hickory nuts are delicious!
These trees are part of the food forest’s overstory layer, aka largest of the plants in a tree guild.
Did you know? Cottonwood tree buds have a wonderful aromatic and pain-relieving sap!
All of these trees make wonderful homes for animals and insects, and of course hold soil and water and improve the air quality. Like all plant and mineral bodies stationary in space, they create microclimates for other kinds of plants and critters around them, which evolve as the large tree matures.

This makes me think about how one can grow greens and tubers to eat in very shady areas, but in order for plants to produce fruit, most of them need a certain amount of sunlight.
Microclimates are everywhere!

Our worldwide food system, and protein sources, in particular, are currently under coordinated and intentional attacks to manufacture food scarcity and famine. Globalist elite intend to eliminate traditional farms and livestock and replace it with indoor vertical farms and lab-created protein alternatives that they own and control. GMOs already account for 75 to 80% of food Americans consume and once fresh produce is under patent, it will inch closer to 100%. https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/globalists-takeover-food-system-control-cola/

Globalists Are Taking Over the Food System — It's Part of Their Plan to Control You
The globalists’ takeover of the food system is underway — if they control the seeds they control the food, and if they control the food they can use the digital ID to control consumer access to the food.

Why are we being fed worse foods than other countries? Is this by design?
Plain bread from ancient grains, minimal sugars, maximized nutrient combinations. (To slip free of pancake syrup psyop, honorably prepared paté, cheese, mayonnaise, or fresh fruit are better.)

Generally the food in America is so bad that it's literally one molecule away from being pure plastic.
Plastic cheese, plastic rice, glued meat, baby formula with more iron than a construction company and its all FDA approved of course. It's crimes against humanity what these corporations are able to get away with.
