“I am a certified birth and postpartum doula who is based in Syracuse, NY with the purpose of improving the health outcomes for Black women and marginalized folks in my community. Last year, I created a Doula Sponsorship Fund to collect funds so that I can provide my services at a low to no cost and also survive.
I’m asking that folks either donate directly to the fund via cashapp: $doula4aqueen, PayPal.me/SequoiaK, or to sign up to become a monthly contributor through www.patreon.com/doula4aqueen.
In addition to making my Doula services accessible, I also teach monthly public health workshops to educate the Black community on how our white supremacist society directly impacts our health outcomes. I’ve been out of work for almost a year now due to being in a car accident, as much as I want to continue to do this work, I need money to sustain these efforts.
March 22-28 is also World Doula Week so if people can share my patreon among your personal networks that would also be appreciated.”
