Kanenhariyo is an Onkwehon:we (Indigenous) man and belongs to the Kayenkehaka Nation, not the Canadian or English nation. His people have kept their ways and traditions, and despite generations of mistreatment at the hands of the Canadian government, they remain a separate, allied Nation with their own rights and responsibilities to creation.

Let’s face the facts the RCMP are just as much a culprit in the in the theft of the indigenous children that got sent to residential schools.”

A Articulação dos Povos Indígenas do Brasil (Apib) informa que as mobilizações indígenas durante o mês de abril estão confirmadas. E nossa maior mobilização, o Acampamento Terra Livre (ATL), tem data marcada para acontecer entre os dias 4 e 8 de abril de 2022, em Brasília, no Distrito Federal.
O abril indígena é uma das principais referências de mobilização popular nos tempos democráticos. Somos a maior mobilização do movimento indígena. Nessa 18° Edição do Acampamento Terra Livre — ATL, em 2022, seguimos mobilizados com o compromisso de lutar pela vida e pelos territórios dos povos indígenas, ocupando Brasília para reivindicar nossos direitos garantidos pela Constituição de 1988.
Nossas lideranças e organizações estão se mobilizando desde as aldeias e territórios, garantindo todos os cuidados sanitários e de segurança para mais uma ação histórica do movimento indígena brasileiro.
