We help every person build community that increases their safety and the safety of their families.

We help connect individuals

in learning relationships,

practicing patterns of collaboration,

creating new income streams together,

showing that there is a different way to heal our culture

through helping and sharing nourishment.
Together we are growing a community of survivors of severe experiences with their friends, loved ones, allies, & accomplices,

who, with the love and strength of the communities they are building

and the emergent community capacities they are discovering,

are achieving new, profound relief in problem-solving.
We coordinate community support and crisis aid

on the basis of learning, as part of our community relationships, how to work together most effectively.

This means that we believe survivors and help them,

even if the help we are able to coordinate is limited to our abilities to listen, hear, and validate one another.
This is no small kind of assistance.

It has exponentially positive effects.

Sometimes, it shows us options we didn't know were there

and gives us the resilience to act on them in measured, practical, and life-saving ways

improving the extreme situations that lead to extreme symptoms for those severely affected.

This is the power of a caring community -- no matter what other resources it may be lacking.

🌱 🌱 🌱 🌱 🌱 🌱

🌱

Nourishing, supportive, consistent, relationship-building interactions with individuals surviving severe conditions...

🌱

...*innoculate* privileged, denial-afflicted ableists...

🌱

...against their own unfortunate experiences of destabilizing stress, life-threatening obliviousness, #AbledsAreWeird, confusion, paranoia, & unwitting cruelty.

🌱

These nourishing, supportive interactions are essential community medicine -- only available if one treats survivors well + respects disabled & marginalized people.

🌱

Without the kindness & respect of this community medicine, unwitting ableists don't understand why their lives are so difficult.

Their world is legitimately falling apart *because* it is disabling to individuals.

🌱

#InaccessibilityMeans the community medicine disappears -- not just for disabled people.

#InaccessibilityMeans the community medicine disappears for everybody.

#InaccessibilityMeans we have only scapegoats in its place.

🌱

All of this happens only because we lost track of how to care for human beings.

🌱

#AccessIsLove helps us remember again.

🌱

Othering & exclusion are uncomfortable feelings -- but are eased by a sense of community safety & belonging.

For all people, #AccessIsLove.

🌱

#AbledsAreWeird when they inhibit their own functioning, safety, & recovery from hardship.

🌱

Able-bodied people feel othered & excluded only because they haven't discovered yet how to extend community to disabled & marginalized people.

🌱

That's the antidote.

🌱

It's a great antidote.

🌱

When we restore + support the community medicine of caring for one another...

🌱

...we find that a lot of things are easier than they were before.

🌱

Problems are solved more efficiently.

People are able to access their most personally healing, meaningful, & sustaining work.

🌱

We feel connection + relief.

🌱

This is medicine for communities.

🌱

If you want to be free of stress, Abled People, build supportive community relationships with Disabled People.

🌱

(What, you didn't think it could be that simple?)
