Law is just like coding. You work out what you want to do & how to approach it (first, assuming it won't work & you will have to repeat/debug it), then put it into a strategy document so you can track and positively affect your progress (using Emacs org mode for that). Then you research the command instructions & write the functions down in a document. Here you compile it into a legal document in which you place the instructions to the OS on what to do. Then you send it off & observe the results. No wonder it is seemingly so familiar.
